I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, graduating from Ben Davis High School in 1967 and then later from the University of Tulsa.

You've heard the expression, "A Jack of All Trades"? Well, if you haven't, look it up. You'll see my picture there. I've been a soda jerk, grocery stock boy, an Air Force Combat Documentation Photographer, Police officer, Navy Electronics Technician on an FBM Submarine, Owned a Pest Control Business, Sold Mobile Homes, worked in a battery reclamation factory, owned a motel gift shop, did clerical work for a medical billing company, Laid out books at McMillan publishing, Drove a big rig Cross-country, and now I own a media company...lookout Rupert Murdock. :)

I'm still trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up. Actually, I was a victim of identity theft a few years ago and I'm still trying to figure out who I am!

I've traveled to every state in the union. But, I must confess that I only visited South Dakota because I made a wrong turn. I’ve been to 23 countries and sailed four of the seven seas. Most of that through the courtesy of my Uncle Sam.

My lovely wife Judy is a native San Diegan, She'd never been further east than Prescott, Arizona, before she met me. Between us, we have 7 children, 10 grandchildren and a
great-grandson.

My favorite hobby is genealogy. Through my research I found out I'm related to Johnny Depp. My grandchildren were really impressed and love to tell all their friends. They don't realize just how distant a fourth cousin twice removed is.

No, I’m not from Coronado, but I got here as fast as I could.



			Computer generated graphics and page layout furthered my interest in graphic design and I started Graphix Plus in 1988. In 2003 I incorporated as gapMEDIA. Job types included logo design, web sites development, video to CD transfer, newsletters, brochures, business cards, etc. But back in 1996 I started scaling back my design work to devote more time to my main client, The Coronado Telephone Book, where I did some sales and all the graphic design and layout. Through discussions with advertisers I began to get a picture of what they would like to see in an advertising vehicle to better promote their businesses to tourists. I finally decided that once the 2007-2008 edition of The Coronado Telephone Book was published, I would then put these ideas to work in Nado Now.

NADO NOW is a yearly publication by gapMEDIA. It is digest size (5 1/2 X 8 1/2) printed in full color on glossy paper. The tag line, “The Island’s Who’s Who and What To Do” summarizes its content. There are listings of things to do and places to see while in Coronado, Contact listings for Coronado, city government, and both Navy bases. I say “contact” because these listings will include more than telephone numbers. Residents may include cell and other numbers from service besides AT&T, IM addresses, e-mail address, web sites, and other pertinent information not normally found in a telephone book. Yes, more Coronado listings than can be found in any other publication. Business listings will be free in the contact section as well. You will always find what you’re looking for in NADO NOW.
